This monumental event was hosted at 8 stadiums around South Africa. The Liberty Life Wanderers in Johannesburg, Supersport Park in Pretoria, Sahara Stadium Kingsmead in Durban, Newlands in Cape Town, Outsurance Oval in Bloemfontien in De Beers Diamond Oval in Kimberly, Sahara Oval St.Georges Park in Port Elizabeth and Buffalo Park in East London.
DJSA was privileged to be handed the contract to supply DJ’s for 5 stadiums for the IPL matches.
Winners of the 2009 IPL – Deccan Chargers
After negotiating with the sponsors we decided to have the following DJ’s perform:
- East London — Master Jam
- Port Elizabeth — DJ Easy E
- Durban — DJ Daniel & DJ Shabz (for one game)
- Kimberly & Bloemfontein — The Diamond Dealer
- Craig De Sousa was responsible for Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town’s entertainment.
After a successful event, DJSA would like to thank all DJ’s who participated. We would also like to congratulate Simon, Peter, Ross and Ian on hosting a faultless event and thank you for your confidence and support throughout the tournament.
Congratulations to Model and actress Dune Kossatz for being crowned Miss Bollywood IPL. Dune beat 46 other beauties to win a guided trip through Bollywood, a business-class trip to India, R50 000 in cash and other prizes.
Genna Cloud was the runner-up and third princess was Dunay Nortje.
And finally congratulations to the Deccan Chargers for winning the tournament by 6 runs against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday 24 May 2009.
