About Master Jam

Perhaps it's Elroy Meyer's (aka DJ Master Jam) background as a dancer that's given him the ability to know exactly what will rock a dancefloor. What is clear, however, is that DJ Master Jam is one of the most exciting DJ's and artists to emerge from the dance music scene.

In July 2006, DJ Master Jam entered his mix-tape demo into the Wheel People/Soul Candi National DJ Competition, where he won the title in the Eastern Cape leg of the competition & placed 5th in the National Finals from over 2000 entrants nationwide.

He's been busy. His talents behind the turntables have taken him all over the country-he has headlined parties and shared the stage with local music luminaries including: Brickz, Mafikizolo, Jamali, Skwatta Kamp, Mandoza and the late, great Lebo Mathosa, DJ Mbuso, DJ Christos, DJ Siyanda, Euphonik - to name a few.

It's safe to say that DJ Master Jam is the Eastern Cape's hottest dancefloor property, a DJ who 'all the girls go crazy for'. He's been playing his own tracks to packed dancefloors throughout SA for months- with an overwhelming response. The who's-who of the music industry have taken notice and flocked to work with him.

There's no holding him back! Now, under Soul Candi records, DJ Master Jam has broken out on a national level. Thirteen eclectic tracks shimmer on Monti Grooves: his second offering that has undoubtedly proved itself on the dancefloor this summer with tracks such as his house remake of Bob Marley's famous Redemption Song, the hard bass lines of Jam To The Beat, the catchy beat of Just For Fun ft. Andy Magazz & the soulful, Change The World ft. RJ Benjamin & the deep dance-floor filling sound of Dance Floor filler.
