ALY & FILA (EGYPT)
After falling in love with the music of Paul Van Dyk, Steve Helstrip & Chicane they built their first small studio & started producing electronic music & DJing from 1999. After establishing themselves in Egypt they decided to go international. In 2002, they signed with prominent German label, Euphonic Records.
Their 1st release “Eye of Hours” received huge airplay from the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto & many others. Due to the track’s huge success it was licensed to Fundamental Recordings in Holland & reached No. 4 in the Dutch Dance Charts. It was also featured on numerous successful compilations including “Gatecrasher Resident Transmission 02”, “Viva Club Rotation”, “Mexico Love Parade” & “Energy 03” amongst others.
After finishing their contract with Euphonic Records, Fila met with Andy Prinz & they decided to launch their first sublabel of Offshore. Upcoming Egyptian releases would follow. Their first release through Offshore Music Switzerland, AP Pro Audio ‘Spirit of Ka’ made it onto numerous playlists. The track was played by Paul Van Dyk & Markus Schulz who also remixed it.
Rising stars “ALY & FILA” join a growing list of extremely talented DJs & producers of the future. As Egypt’s most talented & in demand DJs they need no introduction. They have played alongside the world’s most lauded artists including Tall Paul, Sonique, Sultan, Tonedepth, John 00 Fleming, Scott Bond, Ben Lost, Satoshi Tomiiee, Darren Christian, Sonorous, Kyau vs Albert, Andy Manston & many others & have featured on club tours for Ministry of Sound, Clockwork Orange, Godskitchen, The Gallery & Renaissance.
