ZIGGY KINDER
Ziggy Kinder is one of the great tech house individualists of our time and as a producer is known as very unique and always recognisable. Kinder is a whizz kid and enjoys nothing more than producing tracks for the dance floor.
His idiosyncratic arrangements are marked by his eagerness to experiment as well as they stand out for strong club functionality. The elementary atoms of his tunes originate from the cosmos of “Minimal Clicks and Cuts” and always play to their strength with hot rolling funk.
Since 2004, Mr. Kinder has been the highlight of Mathias Schaffhäuser’s label, Ware Records of which turn up amongst the sets of John Tejada, Richie Hawtin, Anja Schneider, DJ Karotte and Tiefschwarz and now goes on with the label “Souvenir”. Unsurprisingly, Tiefschwarz also signed up for Kinder to come out with a new record called, “que pasa maria?!” on their behalf.
On all accounts, Ziggy’s live acts are prime time events for fearless bouncing on the dancefloor. He extraordinarily manages to energise his audience to a magical-magnetic field of playfulness and maniac-congenial funk.
Ziggy Kinder’s music has rocked Johannesburg’s underground dancefloors in years gone. His tracks have been at the heart of the growing Techno movement ever prevalent at Truth in the last 3 years, pushed by residents Karmi, Nick Lumb, Jimmy Chronic, Manuel Oettl and Andi Dill.
It is an absolute honour to host such a prestigious artist on the Truth premises for an event of this nature. If you aren’t an already avid Techno fan, get ready for the love affair of a lifetime this Thursday at Truth!
