About El Phonix
2012 has marked the coming of El Phonix. His DJ career has taken off, he released his Debut Album, "Fallen From The Earth" and was chosen as one of the Top remixes by Steve Aoki with the release on Ultra Records.
Covering corporate, club, brand and party- focused events, El Phonix has succeeded to attract crowds over each spectrum, and is set to soon be a household name.
Spanning 5 years, El Phonix has played all over South Africa and even ventured overseas to entertain crowds from Ireland all the way down to Mozambique. He also played some of South Africa's biggest festivals like Grietfest, Underground Sound and Aardklop.
His productions took off when his first single "This Can Be" was released by Sony Africa on a compilation disk titled "We Love Bass Vol1" together with other international artists like The Prodigy, MPI, Ellie Goulding and Katy B, just to name a few.
Then his EP – "Masters of Mono" was released on Dubflex records in 2011 and 2012 saw the release of his debut 12 track album titled "Fallen from the Earth". His songs have featured on all major radio stations in South Africa and on Dubstep Music UK.
El Phonix has also been working with Lucky Life Entertainment/Radio/TV for the past 2 years and some of his productions have since then featured on this Ibiza TV series.His new song "Come Together" will also be featured on the new video of the prestige Ibiza club 'Privilege". He is set to join the team in Ibiza for summer 2013.
In December 2012 El Phonix's remix of Steve Aoki's – "Come With Me" was selected as one of the best remixes and he joined Steve Aoki and Pioneer Netherlands in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in February 2013 for a master class by the master himself. His remix is also released on world famous record label, Ultra Records as part of the official "Come With Me EP" with other remixes by Lazy Rich and Doorly.
In studio plans for 2013 include some collaborations with local and international artists as well as a couple more remixes for Dim Mak. Be sure to keep an eye on his social media for more info about new releases and promotional songs.
