to first-ever live, interactive “City to City” dance experience!
The H2O party wave makes its debut in Durban as South Africa’s leading party brand joins forces with popular radio station 5FM and Smirnoff alco-pop brands Storm and Spin to unite local partygoers in a first-ever live, interactive “City-To-City” dance experience.
For more than a decade, bi-annual dance music mega-fest H2O has consistently rocked the African party landscape with overwhelming success. Ultra slick, always executed at full throttle and synonymous with sunshine, superlative music and unbeatable good times, the H2O juggernaut seems unstoppable.
This March, H2O will take place on the same day, at the same time, in both Durban and Johannesburg. Massive LED screens set up at respective venues in each city will facilitate a live visual feed from one event to the other, thereby creating an amazing real-time, two-way party spectacular.
On Saturday the 5th of March, H2O City-To-City Powered by 5FM will touch down simultaneously at the Wavehouse at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping in Umhlanga and the Wild Waters Complex in Boksburg, Johannesburg; headlined by International DJ Marcel Woods and popular 5FM radio jocks DJ Fresh, Sasha Martinengo, Euphonik, Roger Goode, Erica Elle, Milkshake and C-Live.
Along with spectacular sound, lighting and audio-visuals and the phenomenal H2O dancers, punters will be able to catch a sensational, collective line-up of South Africa’s finest local DJ’s burning up the decks with sounds from deep house and funky electro to hip-hop, progressive techno, trance and much more. Boasting three dancefloors and over thirty DJs in Durban and more than seventy artists across a total of eight separate arenas in Johannesburg, H2O City-To-City Powered by 5FM will give new meaning to the phrase, “double the fun”!
5FM’s Roger Goode will be broadcasting the station’s Saturday Surgery show live from three different dancefloors at the H2O Durban event. Catch Roger on the Main Floor at 7pm then on the Hip Hop Floor with 5FM’s Milkshake at 8pm and finally on the Funky Floor with Coco Loco at 9pm. All happening live on 5FM!
