MikeSpike started djing in 1999 with his best friend in a mobile dj enterprise. After one year of this he was granted small on the side mixing opportunities at Club 64, a teenage night club in Benoni. He carried on as a resident there till the club’s closure, and in mid 2001 he enrolled at the Technics dj mix club to further his skills. MikeSpike was awarded the top student award and received a platinum grade for his efforts. Since returning from the UK in 2003 MikeSpike’s style and taste’s have diversified and he is always willing to start a party playing deep, soulful music, slowly building the tempo and atmosphere in club and lounge environments. Sexy, Soulful, sophisticated and surprising is how MikeSpike describes his sound.
