Martin got caught by the DJ bug late in life, but with his wealth of music knowledge, and depth of catalogue, he has become sought after in the rock/indie/electro scene.

His first residency was at The Red Room, Joburg's most popular alternative nightclub. Martin then started his own club night, The Cellardoor, which was based at The Horror Cafe in Newtown and then moved to the legendary CCHQ in Primrose. The Cellardoor proved to be very successful, and 2 compilations of indie music were released under that name, released by Just Music.

Not wanting to be pigeon-holed as a 'one genre" DJ, Martin then took up residency at Braamfontein's latest hotspot, The Great Dane, where he still plays every Saturday.

Comfortable on the big stage too, Martin has played alongside Shadowclub, Die Antwoord and international band Bloc Party, and most recently entertained 15000 people as the opening DJ for Bastille at Emmarentia Dam.
