Shattered Glass Discos
Having celebrated weddings and private functions since 1985, Shattered Glass Discos continues to benchmark the standard in the mobile disco industry. Offering unparalleled service, technologically advanced sound, lighting and veejay equipment, a selection of music for all ages and demographic groups and highly skilled entertainers, Shattered Glass is the disco that really comes to the party!
DJ’s and Equipment
Our DJs have been through stringent selection and training processes. This ensures that all of our DJs are competent and experienced professionals who take pride in what they do.
Our DJs are continually assessed and we conduct regular meetings and training seminars to maintain our high standards. Our DJs are proficient in handling the formalities and the order of events at weddings.
Our DJs are bound by the strict SADJA (South African Disc Jockey Association) code of ethics:
1. Alcohol: DJs are strictly prohibited from consuming alcohol at functions.
2. Punctuality: DJs are on time – every time.
3. Etiquette: DJs are well mannered and trained on basic etiquette.
4. Dress Code: DJs are well groomed and wear the SHATTERED GLASS DISCOS company shirt (collared) with smart trousers.Our DJs are proud to be members of an elite team.
We use state of the art equipment to guarantee outstanding sound clarity. Our 20 units are flight cased to ensure that they are unobtrusive and aesthetically appealing.Our units boast JBL Eon Powered Speakers, Dual Professional CD Players, and 6 Channel Mixing Desks. Appropriate professional lighting is used to enhance the atmosphere at your function and we will supply you with a cordless microphone to help facilitate your speeches.

Music Selection
Being a multi operational company, we have the experience and expertise to know what selection of music a Mobile Disco must carry. Every function is different and our DJs are able to cater for all ages and music preferences. Our DJs strive to “read the crowd” and to play the right music at the right time.
A great deal of planning goes into each and every function, so the DJ meets with our clients at a pre-function meeting to get an indication of your music preferences and favourite songs. The DJ will slot your favourite songs and artists into the evening wherever possible. For weddings, the DJ will confirm your Walk In, First Dance and Leaving songs. If you are battling over choice, we will send you a list of our most frequently played songs. Our CD Library boasts over 25 000 song titles. Should we not have your Walk In song, First song or Leaving song, we will endeavour to source it for you.
Our DJs welcome special requests and in the event that they do not have a specific music request, their extensive music knowledge will enable them to offer you a suitable alternative.We have had the pleasure of playing at Afrikaans, Portuguese, Greek, Italian, Jewish, Lebanese, African and traditional South African weddings.
