.A love of quality music second to none runs through this young man’s veins and having always wanted to take up the challenge of entertaining others with displays of mixer trickery and cueing of perfectly timed tracks.

Cue December 2006, a fresh new face welcomed into the ranks of DJ’ing. Young and impressionable, yet always steadfast in views of delivering quality.
In steps, DJ Lil’ Mike, a name synonymous with the classic quote of “where there’s smoke there’s fire”.

Having picked up the needed skills quickly and honed it down to a fine art, Lil’ Mike quickly cracked the nod to debut at one of the biggest institutions of dance music in South Africa, ESP.
Thereafter under ESP’s sister brand, DJ Lounge, Lil’ Mike continued to build a brand for himself by throwing smaller, more intimate parties.

Drawing inspiration from other heavy weights in the South African DJ community, Stuart H, Paul Bingham,DJ Syren, MPI Project & the ever charismatic Gregori, Lil’ Mike experiments with various different sounds to form a set which offers his listeners something new, unique and addictive. Classing his style of music can only be called “Energetic Electro”, which by his own admission is guaranteed to get the entire dance floor bouncing.

Currently Lil’ Mike holds a residency at Submission Night Club in Johannesburg, where, week in and week out he rocks the dance floor solidly leaving the punters screaming and begging for more! Lil’ Mike is certainly going places in a hurry, having recently played a mammoth one on one with Irish DJ sensation Nigel H. And also being included in the line up alongside Nukleuz’ label manager Pierre Pienaar and Simon Quodos from London, UK, Lil’ Mike is certainly making waves.

Not being afraid to incorporate new sounds into his sets, Lil’ Mike experiments with various genre’s to create his own niche genre. Ingenuity like that is definitely keeping this young stalwart on the forefront of the South African dance scene!

The question is not if you’ll be on a DJ Lil’ Mike dance floor, but rather, when?
